About Queensland Law Society

Established in 1928, the Queensland Law Society is the peak professional body for Queensland’s legal practitioners. We lead the legal profession by advocating for good law and supporting good lawyers.

We are the voice of the legal profession in Queensland and represent the interests of Queensland lawyers. We are their trusted advisor in the areas of ethics, advocacy, practice management and professional development. We are a membership society keeping the bar high when it comes to professional and regulatory standards.

We employ over 100 people who work across a diverse range of areas including:

  • Member Services and Products
  • Marketing and Engagement
  • Corporate Services
  • Professional Standards
  • Human Resources
  • Finance

It’s our people, and our commitment, and the things we do every day - that enable us to advocate for good law and support good lawyers. All of us play a part in ensuring Queensland Law Society is a society that our members value and a place where our team members love coming to work.
