Established in 1928, the Queensland Law Society is the peak professional body for Queensland’s legal practitioners. We lead the legal profession by advocating for good law and supporting good lawyers.
We are the voice of the legal profession in Queensland and represent the interests of Queensland lawyers. We are their trusted advisor in the areas of ethics, advocacy, practice management and professional development. We are a membership society keeping the bar high when it comes to professional and regulatory standards.

We recognise that work is just one element of your life and we provide a number of initiatives to assist with personal life demands and responsibilities and support a better work-life balance. Over 25% of our team currently work flexibility with arrangements including working from home, part-time, job-share and flexible start and finish times.
Our workforce is predominantly female (73% female; 27% male). Females represent 62.5% of our executive leadership team and 48% of our middle management team.
We support our team members when they become parents through providing up to 8 weeks paid parental leave, encouraging keeping in touch activities while on leave, and assisting with their transition back into the workforce.
